About the Client: OST Trucking
OST Trucking Inc. is a shipping and logistics company specializing in over sea container logistics and warehouse storage. They have several locations throughout the East Coast, but their Baltimore terminal sees a particularly high volume of traffic.
When the commercial metal roofing system over their facility began to show signs of potential failure, they needed a contractor to solve the problem quickly. The roof needed to be fixed with minimal disruption to OST Trucking’s operations, since a shutdown as brief as a day or two could cause severe logistical issues and lost revenue for their company.
How Duro-Last’s EXCEPTIONAL Metals Saved the Day
When Josh Moser learned how important it was to minimize disturbances to OST Trucking’s everyday operations, he knew the right roofing solution for the project. “What I was presenting through Duro-Last and then through the EXCEPTIONAL Metals department was the EM Retro-R panel as a retrofit overlay from the existing metal roof,” Moser explained.
The EM Retro-R panel is an exposed fastening system that can be applied directly over many common commercial metal roofing systems. This meant no tear-off would be necessarily, a part of the re-roofing process that typically requires a facility to shut down. “It came down to the fact that we could do the project with very little disturbance to their operations,” said Moser.
In the end, the Moser team was able to successfully restore the facility’s metal roofing system with minimal disruptions. And as a result of our team’s skill and craftsmanship, we were thrilled to be recognized with the 2016 Duro-Last Project Award for our efforts.
